US Senate Expected to Tackle Minimum Wage Increase

After the Thanksgiving break, the United States Senate is expected to consider a minimum wage increase (S. 1737). The legislation would increase the federal minimum wage to $10.10 an hour over three years and would index the hourly wage floor to inflation. Although the bill draws considerable support from President Obama, OGA does not expect the bill to ultimately pass as House Republicans are likely not to act on it.
