Ohio Officials Response to Ebola Activities in State
(Oct. 16, 2014) In lieu of the recent news that a Dallas health care worker who tested positive for Ebola virus had recently traveled to Ohio, the Governor and the Department of Health have both issued statements and proper procedures regarding the news. You can view the official Governor statement here on the Ebola response activities occurring in Ohio. Furthermore, the Department of Health issued Ebola quarantine protocols which were closely developed in consultation with Ohio infectious disease experts and build on guidelines from the CDC. Those protocols can be found here. In addition, the Health Department website contains additional information and a 24-hour-a-day call center to answer any questions about Ebola. The number for Ohioans to call is 1-866-800-1404. Lastly, OGA President and CEO was interviewed early this week by local channels 6 and 28 regarding protocols and procedures for produce and chocolate arriving from Africa into our grocery stores and the potential for a price jump.
