Secretary of State Husted Announces Two New Business Initiatives

(October 1, 2015) The Secretary of State, Jon Husted announced the rollout of two major initiatives, the 21 percent cut in new business filing fees and a partnership with Google to help new businesses get off the ground. The 21 percent reduction in business filing fee took effect on Friday and OGA supported the legislation that brought about the change. The partnership with Google coincides with a new website www.MyOhioBiz.com that will help small business access various free tools and connect with community resources from Google in order to promote their new services and products. These efforts are designed to give all new business the ability to build and launch a website.
