Workers Compensation – MCO
Reminder – New BWC Payroll System Changes Begin July 1, 2016
Recently, the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) has been making various changes to streamline services to Ohio’s employers. Coming this July, a new process for private employers, entitled the payroll true-up, is set to be implemented. The true-up payroll system will require employers to report their actual payroll for the previous policy year and then reconcile any differences in premium paid. This will allow BWC to verify that your company’s premiums are correct. Employers can expect to receive the 2015 policy year true-up notice from BWC July 1 and they must return the completed report by August 15. The quickest and easiest way to submit your true-up report is online with a BWC e-account. If you do not have a BWC e-account you can create one by signing on to https://www.bwc.ohio.gov/SelfSvcAccountAdmin/newacc.asp. For additional information or questions please call 800-644-6292 or visit the BWC website.
