EVENT UPDATE: In light of news and announcements surrounding the containment and control of the Coronavirus outbreak, the 15th Annual Beer & Wine Tasting has been RESCHEDULED to FRIDAY, AUGUST 21st. Tickets already purchased will still be honored on the night of the event, and no changes or special accommodations need to be made by attendees. More information is provided below.
In 2019, the Ohio Grocers Association undertook the management of events formerly held by the Youngstown Area Grocers Association (YAGA). After the dissolution of YAGA, OGA continues to manage these very popular events. Find out more below.
Annual Beer & Wine Tasting
Always a popular event, the Annual Beer & Wine Tasting features a wonderful evening of gourmet food and sampling of more than 100 wines and 50 microbrews from purveyors all over Ohio.
REGARDING THE RESCHEDULING OF THE EVENT:
Because of the proximity of the outbreak, the protocols involving controlling outbreak and spread of the virus, and the potential of threat, The Wine Tasting – originally scheduled for March 14th — will be postponed. It has been decided that postponing this event until a later date (beyond the 30 days recommended for outbreak control) will provide enough precaution to allow a safer venue and overall experience. The Youngstown Area Grocers Wine Tasting will now be held on Friday, August 21st, 2020. Please note that location and time WILL NOT change, and we are adjusting all the other details with vendors and suppliers to ensure that nothing will change regarding the nature of the event. Tickets and sponsorships will still be honored and guests are encouraged to invite others and attend on this new date.
