(May 3, 2012) The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation 2012 Managed Care Organization (MCO) Open Enrollment period is April 30 through May 25. Remember, everyone must select an MCO, but it costs you nothing. OGA continues to endorse CareWorks as the preferred MCO, because they focus on a critical area of workers’ compensation – achieving quick, safe returns to work. This, in turn, prevents your workplace injuries from becoming lost-time claims, which means lower workers’ comp premiums for you!
If you are already with CareWorks and want to remain so – DO NOTHING! If you’d like to switch to CareWorks, you may use this MCO Enrollment Form or contact them directly at 1-888-CAREWORKS. If you have any questions, please contact Kristin Mullins.
CareWorks medically manages claims for employees who have been injured or disabled on the job, with a primary focus on achieving a successful return to work as quickly and as safely as possible.
CareWorks is backed by a statewide network of more than seventy-five vocational rehabilitation specialists (VocWorks) and a strong Medical Mutual of Ohio provider network.
CareWorks provices more value-added services than any other MCO, including:

- On-site or video conference claims status reviews
- Written confirmation of all new claim filings
- Comprehensive quarterly case management and medical bill payment reports
- An individually assigned Account Executive to coordinate all training and education
