Plastic Recycling Bin Replacement Bags
We have been receiving some calls about replacement bags for the Plastic Recycling Bins we distributed last year. The bins and replacement bags were possible because of a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Unfortunately, we are out of the replacement bags that were funded by the grant, but we suggest that you use plastic bags that are used in other bins in your stores, such as trash cans. Plastic Bag Recycling
Early in 2009, OGF implemented a Plastic Bag Recycling initiative by supplying members with plastic reycling bins. The bins will allow customers to recycle their plastic shopping bags, dry cleaning bags, etc., and also allow members to recycle shrink and pallet wrap.
Once all plastic is collected, it will be backhauled to a wholesaler's distribution center or warehouse, where it will be baled and sent to a plastics recycling center. Nash Finch and SUPERVALU are participating wholesalers.
